There is no volume control taskbar icon

Method One:

1. The Windows XP CD-ROM inserted into your computer’s CD-ROM or DVD-ROM drive. In the insert the CD-ROM at the same time hold down the Shift key to prevent auto-run CD-ROM.
 
2. Click Start, and then click Run.

3. In the Open box, type cmd, and then click OK.

4. At the command prompt, type the following command-line, and by the end of each line Enter key, of which CD-ROM computer drive is included in Windows XP CD-ROM or the CD-ROM drive DVD-ROM drive letter, and system root directory is where Windows system files path and folder name (usually the C: \ Windows):

cd i386
Expand sndvol32.ex_ system root \ system32 \ sndvol32.exe

5. From the command prompt, type exit.

Method Two:
